The Study Aimed at: Study the effect of using educational scaffolding strategy in teaching literary texts on developing preparatory stage pupils appreciation skills and the trend towards self- learning, the study used a pretest/posttest equivalent groups design, the consequences revealed that: there is a statistically significant difference at(0.01) level between the mean scores of the study group in the test of appreciation skills "pre – post " applications in favor of the post application, as well as There is a statistically significant difference at(0.01) level between the Mean scores of the study group in the scale of direction towards self-learning "pre – post " applications in favor of the post application, as the study recommended to hold training courses for teachers during the service to train them in self-learning skills and use of modern teaching strategies in teaching.
