The aim of the research is to identify the role of Taif University in developing the leadership skills of its students in the light of improving the competitiveness of university graduates in terms of the following dimensions: (Planning, decision-making accompanied by self-confidence, problem solving, time management, conflict management, emotional sharing).The research was based on descriptive approach. The research used a questionnaire was applied to a random sample of students (male and female)of Taif University, numbered (4844) students. The most important results of the study were: The degree of practicing the leadership skills of Taif University students in the light of improved competitiveness of university graduates was high. The order of the dimensions of the questionnaire according to the opinion of the sample was as follows: Emotional involvement, conflict management, time management, problem solving, self-confidence decision-making, planning. There are also statistically significant differences in the overall score of practicing the leadership skills of Taif University students in the light of competitiveness of university graduates from the point of view of the study sample members due to the following variables:
gender for the benefit of females, type of track in the direction of health track, level of study in the direction of level IV to VI, the number of student activities for (10) activities and more , the most important recommendations of the research: Preparation of Students Affairs Deanship for an integrated training program aimed to develop the leadership skills of university students University students of the first level in university study, and implemented every month during the semester, so the largest number of students can join and benefit from it with focusing on motivating students to participate. To raise the students awareness in the students advisory councils to interact and participate in them, encourage them to work positively, hold lectures and workshops for faculty members to familiarize them with the mechanisms that develop their students leadership skills, prepare the Deanship supporting a special teaching course on leadership skills. Leadership Studies at the University to award a diploma degree in leadership qualification for students.
