Abstract
This study aimed to identify the role of extracurricular activities in developing the leadership skills of the primary school students in the city of Riyadh, from the point of view of the pioneers of the activity, by identifying the reality of these activities and obstacles to their application. The study sample included (160) pioneer activities in the primary stage of the various education offices in Riyadh. Use descriptive approach, and questionnaire as a tool for study. The study showed that most of the study members agreed that extracurricular activities develop the leadership skills of female students in primary school. Approvals of most members of the study on the obstacles facing the implementation of extra-curricular activities for the development of leadership skills. The most prominent of these obstacles is the lack of financial resources allocated to school activity. The most prominent recommendations were the inclusion of activities that enhance the skills of communication with others, and it is hoped that this study will contribute to the activation of extra-curricular activities towards the development of leadership skills for primary school students.
