Developing Institutional Performance at Bisha University In the light of the most prominent global systems of university governance: a proposed model

Abstract

           The study aimed to identify the concepts of institutional performance development, governance and related theoretical aspects. It also highlighted the relationship between the application of governance in universities and the achievement of the requirements of its strategic plans, the identification of models of the application of governance at the global level and the degree of application of administrative governance at the University of Bisha Administrative and academic studies in the light of the requirements of its strategic plan and vision 2030, and whether there are statistically significant differences in the opinions of the respondents on the degree of application of administrative governance at the University of Bisha according to gender variables (male-female) RI), functional status (Employee - leadership). The results of the theoretical study found that there is a weakness in the management of Saudi universities in 2030, which can lead in some universities to weak outputs and outputs that achieve their strategic objectives. This necessitates the need to develop their management systems in proportion to the vision of each university and the aspirations and aspirations that they hope for. And that there is an effective role to implement the governance systems to develop the institutional performance of these universities, and contribute to the achievement of a high standard of all its management practices, and support its strategic plans. The results of the field study showed that the degree of application of governance at the University of Bisha is generally medium, and in all fields except the axis of internal processes which was high and the variation of the scores of the vocabulary of each field to represent more than one evaluation, but also based on the intermediate to high levels, Differences between leadership and non-leadership assessment were also shown in the core of internal processes, learning and growth; indicating non-leadership needs in these two axes. The Study recommended that the application of governance be implemented at Bisha University and suggested that this recommendation be followed by the design of a systemic model with a strategic perspective for the application of governance at Bisha University
