Abstract

The objective of the research is to identify the effect of the use social media on terrorism from the perspective of the students of the Faculty of Education at Taif University. The differences between the variables are attributed to different variables: gender, specialization in secondary school, and level of education. The sample was sampled from (305) students (male and female). The researchers used the descriptive approach, and the METRO questionnaire was used to collect data. The results of the study showed that the impact of the use of social media on terrorism from the point of view of the students of the Faculty of Education at Taif University was high. The ranking of the axes was respectively: social effects, political effects, religious effects, (a = 0.05) was attributed to the effect of the sex variable in the social effects, and in the total score, where the differences were in favor of females, while there were no significant differences at the level (α = 0.05) And political effects, and the presence of differences of statistical significance at the level of significance (α = 0.05) attributed to the impact of a variable For the specialization in the social effects, and in the total degree where the differences were in favor of females, while there were no differences with statistical significance at the level of significance (α = 0.05) attributed to the effect of the variable specialization in religious effects, political effects, and the existence of differences of statistical significance at the level of significance (α = 0.05) between the third level on the one hand and the sixth, seventh and eighth on the other. The differences were in favor of the sixth, seventh, and eighth, and there were differences of statistical significance (α = 0.05) between the fifth and eighth levels, For the eighth level, in the social effects, and the presence of differences of statistical significance (α = 0.05) between the The differences were in favor of the sixth level in religious relics, and there were statistically significant differences (α = 0.05) between the third level on the one hand, and the seventh and the eighth, on the other hand, where the differences were in favor of the seventh, eighth, and Total score.
