Representation Degree of Citizenship Values Among Students of The College of Basic Education in Kuwait in the light of Some Variables

Abstract

     The aim of this study is to identify the representation degree of citizenship values among students of college of basic education in Kuwait, and its relations with some variables such as sex, religious sect, and academic year. To achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire of (41) items was developed by the researcher, and distributed to a random sample of (821) students at the college of basic education.
     Results showed that the degree of students' representation of citizenship values was very high, and in all its dimensions, and came in the following descending order: belonging and loyalty, social participation, democracy, and pluralism and acceptance of others. In addition, the study found that there were no statistically significant differences in the students' representation degree of citizenship valuesthat can be attributed to religious sect, and academic year variables, however, the study found that there were statistically significant differences in the students' representation degree of citizenship values in social participation dimension, that can be attributed to sex, and in favour of male students.
