Abstract

The present research aimed to Detection the Relationship between Dogmatism and Marital Adjustment at Simple of wives in Makkah, About Using the Pearson correlation coefficient. To achieve this goal, the descriptive (correlation-comparative) approach was used. The research tools were applied to the application of two measures of intellectual rigidity (Al-Dosari, 2011) and the other to the marital compatibility of the students (Busby, Christensen, Crane, & Larson, 1995), a revised version of the Spanier Marriage Scale (1976) On a sample of (91) women married to married women in Makkah.
The results of the study showed that there was a statistically significant difference between the sample mean and the mean mean, and that the mean mean was greater than the mean of the sample, indicating that the intellectual rigidity was low in the sample. As for the results of the T test for one sample to determine the difference between the sample mean and the mean mean on the marital compatibility scale, it was found that there was a statistically significant difference between the sample mean and the mean mean. Since the sample mean was greater than the mean, The study sample had marital compatibility. In terms of the results that were obtained using the P-test for the analysis of the monotonous variance of the intellectual rigidity, it was found that there were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the sample according to the age variable. And for the benefit of wives older than (50) years, and the absence of statistically significant differences between the averages of the sample scores according to the educational qualification variable and the number of marriage years; , There were no statistically significant differences between the mean of the sample by age variable, the variable number of years of marriage, and the variable of the educational qualification.
As for the results of the relationship between the variables of intellectual immobility and marital compatibility, there was a negative correlation between the two variables. The increase in intellectual stagnation leads to a reduction in marital compatibility and the decrease in intellectual stagnation leads to increased marital compatibility. Finally, through the results of linear regression analysis, in order to determine the extent of predicting marital compatibility in the light of intellectual inertia, there were no statistically significant differences, and consequently, the inability to predict marital compatibility in the light of intellectual inertia
