Abstract

This research aims to investigating of effectiveness of suggested model for the design of effective teaching on the development of academic achievement and to improve the Attitudes towards science among Tabuk intermediate stage students. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the semi-experimental method was used. The experimental group teachers were trained to use the suggested model. An achievement test was conducted related to the objectives of the selected educational units, and then a measure of the attitudes towards science was established. Three intermediate government schools were selected from the city of Tabuk: Asim bin Uday, Malik bin Dinar and Abu Ubaida, to implement the study. The random sample consisted of (217) students divided into two groups: The first group consisted of (109) students. The control group consisted of (108) students. The study tools were applied to the- experimental and control groups before and after the application of the model. The results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences at the level of (α = 0.05) in the academic achievement variable in favor of the experimental group. The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the level (α = 0.05) in the attitudes towards science variable. The researcher recommended the use of the model in the teaching of science, and training teachers on the mechanisms of its application.
