The reality of Community Partnership and its Fields Practice in Taif Universityfrom the point of view of the faculty members

Abstract

The study aimed to determinethe reality of community partnershipand the degree of practice its fields at Taif University from the point of view of the faculty members, and to explore any statistically significant differences on the degree of practice due to some variables. Using the descriptive analytical approach, a questionnaire consisted of (50) items divided into five domains. After verifying its validity and reliability, it was applied on a random sample of (210) members representing (18%) of the total population. The results of the study revealed that: The reality of community partnership at the University of Taif was moderate in general (3.35), and its fields arranged as: cultural, educational, social, economic, and research. The degree of practice its fields which were all moderate except the cultural was high (3.66), and the educational free near high (3.40). There were statistically significant differences at level (0.01) on the reality of community partnership and the degree of practice its fields due to the college in favor of the theoretical colleges, and to the gender in favor of the male, and to the years of experience in favor of more than 10 years. There were no statistically significant differences on the degree of the reality of community partnership and the degree of practice its fields due to the academic rank. And were no significant differences in the educational, social fields due to the gender. And were no significant differences in the cultural, social, and economic fields due to the years of experience.
The study recommends activating the practice of community partnership in all its fields, especially research, social and economic, and conduct applied research to transfer and localization of technology and inter-research to meet the needs of sustainable development, and provide pioneering and investment initiatives in projects and economic events
