Abstract

The aim of the current research is to design a proposed unit in science according to the principles of the Universal Design for Learning for the intermediate stage, and to identify the effectiveness of the proposed unit in the development of science fiction among intermediate school students in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The researcher used descriptive analytical and quasi-experimental approaches. The study sample consisted of (39) first-grade students. The researcher designed a scale for science fiction as a tool for study. The results of the study findings that there are statistically significant differences at (0.05) level between the means scores of the female students of the experimental group and the control group students in the post-application of the science fiction scale, this indicates the effectiveness of the proposed unit in science according to the principles of UDL in the development of science fiction among intermediate school students in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
