A comparative study of technical and vocational education systems in some Latin American countries and the possibility of benefiting from them in Egypt

Abstract

      The aim of this study was to compare among systems of technical and vocational education in some Latin American countries, namely; Brazil-Argentina-Mexico. In addition, this study sought to explore the field experiences of these countries in concern to the most influential cultural forces and factors in order to submit a proposed vision that provide proposals to benefit from these experiences in developing the Egyptian technical and vocational education.
    In the light of its problem and objectives, this study used the comparative approach and provided a proposed founded vision for the development of the Egyptian technical and vocational education, including two main steps:
1-      Establishing branches for private sector companies and technical and industrial civil institutions within the borders of Egyptian technical secondary schools.
2-      Preparing a specialized program suitable to various Egyptian universities for holding courses for technical and engineering profession, which grant accredited certificates equivalent to those of the bachelor degree.
