Self-management skills among adolescents of high and low forgivness of both sexes: predictive difference study

Abstract

The current study aimed at identifying the level of self-management skills and forgivness among adolescents at the secondary level in the light of the type of education (general - technical), as well as identifying the differences in self-management skills according to the level of forgivness (high - low), as well as trying to reveal the relationship between skills Self-management and forgivness, in addition to knowing the relative contribution of self-management skills in forgivness to the individuals in the study sample. The basic study sample consisted of (205) male and female adolescents at the secondary stage in both its (public and technical) sides of some general and technical secondary schools in Cairo Governorate, divided into (115) in general secondary education, and (190) technical secondary education, of whom (82) students And students of high forgivness, and (82) students of low forgivness, and their average age ranged (16.97) years and a standard deviation of (1.13) years. Using the self-management scale for high school students, prepared by/ Abdel-Moneim El-Dardir, Mohamed Abdel-Samea and Iqbal Abu El-Majd (2018), and the measure of forgivness among adolescents prepared/ researcher, the results indicated the difference in the level of both self-management skills and forgivness according to the type of education (general - technical) in favor of general secondary education, as well as There are statistically significant differences At two levels (0.01; 0.05) in self-management skills according to the level of forgivness (high - low) among adolescents in the secondary stage of both sexes in favor of high forgivness, as well as a statistically significant relationship At level (0.01) between self-management skills and forgivness among adolescents in the secondary stage of both sexes. In addition, forgivness in secondary school adolescents of both sexes can be predicted through their grades on the scale of self-management skills.
