A proposed teaching model based on pragmatics to develop oral communication skills among Arabic language learners of other languages

Abstract
The aim of this research is to identify the effectiveness of a teaching model based on pragmatics in developing oral communication skills among Arabic language learners of other languages. For achieving the research aim, a teaching program based on pragmatics, a listening test, and a note card for speaking skills were prepared. The research sample consisted of (17) students from Arabic language learners of other languages from the teaching sessions of the wholly Qur’an Office of Da`wah and Guidance in Uqlat Asoqour Governorate - Qassim Province.  The sample sat for the pre-listening and the pre-speaking tests, and after studying the proposed program they sat for the post tests. The results confirmed a statistically significant differences between the performances of the research groups in the pre and post measurements of listening and speaking tests in favor of the post measurement, which confirms the effectiveness of the proposed teaching model.
