The Level of Classroom Instructional Practices of Teachers of Physics in High Schools in the light of Gender and Experience Teaching variables in Jordan

Abstract

 
This study aimed to identify the level of classroom teaching practices of physics teachers in high schools and to investigate the effect of gender and experience teaching in these practices, The researchers chosen a random sample consisted of (152) headmasters in the year 2017/2018 . To achieve the objective of the study, the researchers developed a questionnaire to measure classroom practices, the validity and reliability of the instrument was verified. The results of the study found that the level of classroom instructional practices of teachers of physics in high schools was average. Also, There were no differences in the level of classroom instructional practices among physics teachers due to the gender, however, there were differences in the level of classroom instructional practices among physics teachers due to the instructional experience favouring for headmasters with higher experience. The study recommended the need to develop and enact laws and regulations contribute to improved instructional practices of physic teachers.
