Abstract

The aim of the current research is to know the effect of teaching geography by using collage activities in a learning environment based on cloud computing applications to develop geographical research skills and reduce the reducing cognitive load for the First secondary students. The research group consisted of (60) female students from the first secondary school year of the academic year 2019-2020 The sample was divided into two experimental groups, which are (30) female students, and the second is (30) female students. The experimental design, which depends on two experimental and control groups, was used before and after measurement. A unit from the geography course in the first secondary school according to the previously defined geographical research skills and using collage activities, then designing a cloud learning environment to include the scientific content in it and preparing a guide for the use of the cloud learning environment, then the research tools were built to test the geographical research skills for the first secondary grade students, cognitive load scale, and the research tools were applied to the experimental and control groups, pre and post, and the results confirmed that there were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group and the control in the post-application to test geographic research skills Avi as a whole and at each skill, and cognitive load scale at the significance level (0.01) for the benefit of the experimental group, and this confirms the effectiveness of using collage activities in a cloud learning environment to develop geographical research skills and reduce the cognitive load for the First secondary students, and research recommendations came to the necessity of employing environments E-learning to develop geographical research skills and reduce the cognitive load of secondary students according to the developments of the times and its requirements.
