Abstract

The study aimed to identify the expected role of the university in achieving the goals of the national strategy for empowering Egyptian women 2030. To achieve this goal, the study employed the descriptive approach through analyzing the literature dealing with the concept of empowering women and its fields and rectifiers as well as identifying the four work elements included in the national strategy for empowering Egyptian women 2030 ,and the goals for each element, then suggesting a set of roles expected to be performed by the university to participate in achieving the goals of each of the previous elements. Accordingly, a list of proposed roles was presented to a group of educational experts to identify their views on the extent to which each of the proposed roles contributions to achieving the targeted empowerment, and through statistical analysis of the data, the study concluded that there are high agreement ratios among the opinions of educational experts that the proposed roles contributes  significantly to achieving the empowerment for each of the elements contained in the strategy. The study proposed a set of procedures that the university should adopt in its endeavors to play the expected role in achieving the goals of the national strategy for empowering Egyptian women 2030.
