Electronic Tests' Anxiety on the Students' Performance at Princess Alia University College/ Al-Balqa Applied University from their Point of View

Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of electronic tests' anxiety on the performance of the students of Princess Alia University College at Al- Balqa Applied University from their point of view. The study sample consisted of (100) students who were selected randomly at summer semester of the academic year 2016/ 2017, the study used descriptive method and to achieve the purpose of the study, the researcher developed a tool consisting of (30) items, its validity and reliability were verified.In order to answer the study questions, the mean and standard deviations were calculated and three-way ANOVA was analyzed. The results of the study showed that (3) items referred to high level and (27) items referred to intermediate level.In addition, there was a difference in the average score of students on the study instrument according to the variables of educational level, specialization, experiences, and courses on the scale as a whole. Using the analysis of the non-interacting three-way ANOVA, the results showed that there were no statistically significant differences at (α ≤ 0.05) of the variables, all of which were not statistically significant.The researcher recommended the need to prepare the examination environment and to inform the faculty members of the causes of anxiety and benefit from the guidance programs that lessens the test anxiety and conduct studies focusing on other variables.
