A Training Program Based on the Lesson Study Cycle Developed to Develop Inclusion Teaching Practices and Self-Efficacy and Reducing Teaching anxiety for elementary social studies’ teachers

Abstract

 The research aimed at exploring the impact of a training program based on the lesson study cycle developed in light of the philosophy of inclusion to develop inclusion teaching practices, self-efficacy and reduce teaching anxiety for teachers of social studies in the primary stage. To achieve this aim the descriptive and experimental methods were used, a checklist of the inclusive teaching practices was prepared and in light of it an observation card was prepared to observe the performance of teachers, a scale was prepared to determine the level of self – efficacy, a scale was prepared to determine the level of teaching anxiety of teachers.The sample of the study consisted of (24) primary social studies teachers. The research found a medium effect of training program in developing the inclusive teaching practices, self-efficacy, and reducing the teaching anxiety, and there was an average negative correlation between self-efficacy and teaching anxiety , the study recommended to provide the experts in the colleges of education with  the developed research lesson to include it in the curricula of preparation of student teachers ,and supporting the school administration of mutual cooperation between teachers of inclusive classes and those related to students' learning.
