The Effictiveness of Mindfulness - Based Cognitive Counseling in increasing self-Compassion and its impact on Self-Stigma in Motor Handicapped University Students

Abstract

The current study aims at identifying: The correlation relationship between self-Compasion and Self-Stigma, The effectiveness of Mindfulness - Based Cognitive Counseling in increasing self-Compassion and its impact on Self-Stima in Motor Handicapped University Students, and the continuity of Mindfulness - Based Cognitive Counseling program in the follow - up measurement (after passing a month and half) in increasing self-Compasion and its impact on Self-Stigma. Counselitic sample consisted of (7) students from Motor Handicapped University Students, age range (19 – 23) years old, with mean age (20.73), and stander deviation (0.99). The tools of the study are: self-Compasion Scale for Motor Handicapped University Students, Self-Stigma Scale for Specia Needs, and Mindfulness - Based Cognitive Counseling program prepared by the researcher. The following results were reached: The effectiveness of Mindfulness - Based Cognitive Counseling program in increasing self-Compassion and its impact on Self-Stima in Motor Handicapped University Students has been illustrated in the post and follow - up measurements.
