Abstract

Pattern of electronic comments (open and closed) through Photos sharing applications and its impact on developing digital photography skills and psychological wellbeing for students with hearing impairments.
The current research aims to provide electronic comments (open and closed) through Photos sharing applications and to identify their impact on the development of achievement, digital photography, and psychological well-being for students with hearing impairments. The descriptive analytical method and the quasi-experimental method were used. The research sample included (30) hearing-impaired students in the first year, Department of Educational Technology, Faculty of Specific Education, they were divided into two experimental groups, the first group used: students who make electronic comments (open) through Photos sharing applications (Instagram). The second group: Students whose electronic comments are (closed) through participatory photo applications (Instagram), and the cognitive achievement test was developed to measure the cognitive aspects of digital photography, and a note card for digital photography skills, and a measure of psychological happiness was developed through the applications of participatory photos (Instagram), and product evaluation card. The results showed that the students of the first group outperformed the second group in achievement test, digital imaging skills, and psychological wellbeing. The results also showed no differences between the two groups in the product evaluation card.
