The effectiveness of a counseling program based on a self-engineering for developing psychological immunity for university students.

Abstract

The current study aimed to build a counseling program based on self-engineering, and to know its effectiveness in developing psychological immunity, the research was conducted on a sample of (16) students from Zagazig University, College of Education ,the College of Early Childhood, and the College of Pharmacy with mean age (19.70), and standard deviation (0.59) with low psychological immunity.The psychological immunity scale was used  prepared by the researcher, and the counseling program prepared by the researcher consisted of (15) sessions and the sessions time ranged from( 45-60) minutes, it was applied in a period of( seven weeks), using a number of techniques and statistical methods,The most important results resulted in: there are statistically significant differences at the significance level(0.01) between the mean scores of the two applications before and after on the scale of immunity, the effect of the counseling program continued in the follow-up period, and there were no between the post and follow-up measurements in the effectiveness of the counseling program on psychological immunity, some recommendations were formulated regarding the possibility of generalizing the current program to other samples, and some relevant proposed research was presented.
