The reality of sustainable leadership and its relationship to achieving organizational ingenuity, A field study at Sohag University

Abstract

This search aimed to identify the reality of sustainable leadership and its relationship to achieving organizational prowess at Sohag University, and to identify the impact of the variables of gender, college, and academic degree on the perceptions of the sample, and to address the problem of the search, the descriptive approach was used. A questionnaire distributed to the sample was used, containing (86) items, Its validity and reliability were verified, and the study showed that the dimensions of sustainable leadership practices all came to a medium degree, and the dimensions of organizational ingenuity came to a moderate degree as well, and there was a positive correlation between the dimensions of sustainable leadership and the dimensions of organizational ingenuity, and the study showed that there were statistically significant differences between The average response of the study sample about the degree of practicing sustainable leadership according to the gender variable in all dimensions except (organizational culture, social and environmental responsibility), and the differences were in favor of males, According to the college variable in all dimensions except (sustainability of learning and success, social and environmental responsibility, and sustainability of investment in human and material resources), there were also statistically significant differences according to the degree variable in my dimension (organizational culture, sustainability of learning and success), while there were no There were differences in the rest of the dimensions, and there were differences between the averages of the respondents' responses about organizational ingenuity according to the gender variable in the two dimensions (investment, "optimal exploitation of opportunities", and structural ingenuity), while there were no differences in the exploration dimension (the search for new opportunities),There are statistically significant differences between the averages of the sample responses according to the college variable with regard to the (structural dexterity) dimension, and the differences are in favor of the theoretical faculties, while there were no differences in the other dimensions. (optimal utilization of opportunities, search for new opportunities), as well as in the total dimensions, while there were differences in the dimension (structural ingenuity) and the differences were in favor of the higher academic degree. The study recommended a set of recommendations, most notably: strengthening the university's organizational culture in order to achieve sustainable leadership and organizational prowess, and the need to enhance the ability of university leaders to optimally invest in opportunities, through: encouraging the university to various community institutions to invest in the university's sectors for the benefit of the university and society .
