Abstract

The study followed the descriptive approach. A questionnaire was used as a data collection tool. The study revealed several results, the most important of which are:

Poor demand of faculty members to obtain funded projects.
The university's failure to announce its applied research projects by various means, whether on websites or scientific seminars and conferences.
Weakness of the technological environment that stimulates knowledge sharing, which allows everyone to communicate smoothly and easily, and helps to exchange knowledge between individuals in the university.
Lack of focus on research of an applied nature, as the production of universities and research centers focuses on scientific publishing for the purpose of promotion, which leads to the reluctance of some researchers to exert efforts to obtain contracts with the industry to develop it through scientific research.
