Suggested Prospect for Employing Interdisciplinary Research as as an approach to the Development of the Educational Research in Egyptian Universities in light of some International Experiences.

Abstract

Educational Research has been affected by the challenges the world is witnessing imposed by the technological and information revolution, and the tremendous increase in knowledge it has produced. It has led to the complexity and intertwining of educational problems and issues, which single-disciplinary research has become unable to address. as a result, a global trend has emerged towards adopting the interdisciplinary research format in studying the complex educational problems and issues that it exceeds the field the specialist the one, and it requires scientific participation and crossing cognitive barriers between disciplines.
Hence, the current study aimed to reach a Suggested Prospect to support the employment of interdisciplinary research in the educational research system in Egyptian universities, in light of the guidance of some international experiences in adopting and supporting interdisciplinary research in universities.
The study used the descriptive approach. This is done through reviewing and analyzing educational literature. To establish a theoretical and conceptual framework for interdisciplinary research, and to review some international experiences in adopting and supporting interdisciplinary research in universities, and in light of this, it ended by presenting a Suggested Prospect for adopting and supporting the employment of interdisciplinary research in the educational research system in Egyptian universities.
