Quality of Work Life and Enhancing Organizational ‎Virtuousness among Faculty Assistants: A Case Study at the ‎Faculty of Education, ain Shams University

Abstract

 
The current research dealt with the auxiliary body of faculty members as the basic nucleus of faculty members at universities. The research presented a theoretical framework that addressed the quality of work life and organizational Virtuousness in contemporary universities Then, the research dealt with the reality of the quality of work life and organizational Virtuousness among assistant faculty members at the Faculty of Education theoretically and in the field.
The research relied on the descriptive approach and the case study method. The questionnaire was also used as a research tool that was applied to a sample of (127) assistant faculty members (78 teaching assistants + 49 assistant lecturers). The research reached a set of results, the most prominent of which are: achieving the dimensions of quality of work life (work environment - wages and rewards - professional development and career advancement - constitutionality in organizing work) to an average degree and achieving the dimensions of organizational Virtuousness (organizational optimism - organizational trust - organizational integrity) to an average degree. Finally, the research presented a set of proposed procedures that would enhance the quality of work life and organizational Virtuousness among assistant faculty members at the Faculty of Education, Ain Shams University.
