Abstract

ABSTRACT_ The current study aimed at Developing "Chemical Reactions" Unit in the light of  Backward  Design Model for Developing Logical Thinking , Learning Retention and Learning Transfer Effect for the 3rd Grade preparatory students .the study adopted aquasi- experimental design employing two groups (experimental and control)  of Students in 3rd Grade preparatory students in Dammietta , The researchers prepared student book and Teacher guide in " Chemical Reactions '' unit in the light of Backward  Design Model, and study tools (Test about logical thinking skills – learning transfer test ) .
  The results showed by using T - Test for independent sampels  and calculated the impact size that the developing and teaching " chemical reactions " unit by using backward design model had a positive effect  on developing the skills of logical thinking and Learning Retention and Learning Transfer. Results were discussed and presented recommendations related to the results of the study, the researchers also suggested making further studies and researches.
