Abstract

Framework
First:
- The research analyses therequirements of investing the Human Capital as an input for achieving institutional excellence. That investment helps raising institutions and improves their excellence levels within the Global Competitiveness.
- The research uses the Faculty of Education in Damietta University as a model of the human capital investment in this institution for achieving institutional excellence, by:
a) Analyzing requirements of the human capital investment;
b) Reviewing the concept of Institutional Excellence and its requirements, and
c) Exploring reality of the human capital in faculty of Education in Damietta and how to be invested in order to achieve the desired institutional excellence.
Second: Findings
The research concluded to some significant results:
1- The Faculty of Education in Damietta University still needs more efforts to support its institutional excellence.
2- There are a number of hindrances that constrain effective human capital investment process in the Faculty of Education in Damietta for achieving institutional excellence.
3- The concept of investing Human Capital in our educational institutions as an input for achieving institutional excellence is still an ambiguous concept.
