Online training as an introduction to employ Big Data management skills in developing professional performance for some kindergarten teachers in Egypt

Abstract

The present study aimed at identifying the effect of training via the internet as an approach to employ  the skills of  handling Big Data   in developing the professional performance of female kindergarten teachers, in Egypt. The researchers used the descriptive approach and the study tools included a survey about the technological efficiencies, observation card, and the training program evaluation form. The researchers chose 60 female kindergarten teachers from Bohaira and Quena Governorate as  a study  sample. The results showed that there were statistically significant variations at the level (0.01) between the mean scores of  the study sample in the pre and post –tests of  the skills of   handling Big Data and its total score in favor of the  post –test. Results also showed a rise in the effect size (𝜂2) of the training via the internet as an approach to employ the skill of handling Big Data in developing the professional performance of kindergarten teachers. The effect size rose to 0.802, which is  a great effect and indicates the effectiveness of the training  program in developing the professional performance of the study sample.
