Research partnership between Egyptian universities and the business community in light of Canada and Singapore experiences

Abstract

                        The current economy has become dependent on the generation of value-added resulting from innovation and knowledge-based innovation. Therefore, the research partnership between universities, production enterprises and industry is one of the proposals put forward to meet the requirements of the current economy. Canada and Singapore In light of the knowledge economy, access to the most important pillars and mechanisms to activate the research partnership between Egyptian universities and the business community derived from the experiences of Canada and Singapore in line with the Egyptian cultural context. W on the comparative approach to achieve their goals and reach them through a set of pillars of research partnership and knowledge economy, including: intellectual property policies in universities,the competitiveness of higher education institutions, scientific research and knowledge production, and the recognition of the importance of applied research technological sectors, also reached a group Mechanisms to activate the research partnership between Egyptian universities and the business community, including: Creation and activation of centers of creativity, innovation and excellence, incubators, knowledge valleys, knowledge parks, research chairs, and entrepreneurship centers. Expanding  the application of business universities in Egypt to emphasize the importance of combining theory and practice in order to provide a qualified and well-trained workforce to serve the needs of society. Environment and service specializes in facilitating and organizing all types of research partnership between universities and the business community.
